KING Drill - Highly efficient indexable insert drill
The use of indexable insert drills without a centre point often leads to insufficient surface finishes and difficulties with dimensional accuracy of the holes. This is especially true for holes deeper than three times the drill diameter (3xD).
The KING Drill was designed to solve this challenge. The centre and peripheral inserts are ideally arranged and enable the production of bores with a depth of up to five times the diameter (5xD).
The optimised design of the King Drill's cutting edges and flutes results in excellent chip formation and shape. The coolant holes further improve chip control and yield. In addition, the KING Drill's WSPs have a wide range of applications with four variants of chip grooves:
- D for general machining
- LD for mild steel and tough materials
- RD with reinforced cutting edges to reduce chipping
- ND for machining non-ferrous metals
KING Drill's performance is maximised by the optimised substrates for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals. In addition, with the KEP8545 grade, we also offer a special substrate for machining heat-resistant superalloys. The KING Drill thus enables a further increase in productivity in manufacturing.
